1000mods is a Greek heavy rock powerhouse

GRIM RHYTHM hail from Melbourne, Australia, to join 1000mods in goold old europe.
Wut, Weirdness, Melodie, Sass und Swing: All das passt zum Anarcho-Punk-Stil von Frenzee. Die drei in Melbourne geborenen und in Griechenland aufgewachsenen Geschwister Apollonia (Gesang), Antonis (Gitarre) und Nikos (Schlagzeug) sind als die neue Generation der Musikerfamilie Xylouris bekannt, die traditionelle Musik der Insel Kreta spielt. Nur ihr Outfit erinnert an den Noiserock mit punkiger Unverfrorenheit, die fast an Raserei grenzt. Apollonia klingt wie Kathleen Hanna mit australischem Akzent, die bei Queens of the Stone Age vorspielt – Silben bedeuten nichts mehr. Und warum auch? Antonis und Nikos hingegen präsentieren sich als kraftvolles Instrumental-Duo, das jeden Track mit rauen und frischen Gitarrenriffs und Percussion zulärmt – wie zum Beispiel in „Frenzy“ und „Fire in My Gut“, in denen die beiden einen abenteuerlichen Sound ähnlich wie Black Sabbath und The Hellacopters spielen. Frenzee rocken einfach drauflos, sie sind besessen vom Geist des Punks – und klingen dabei einfach wahnsinnig cool.
