Brant Bjork has spent over a quarter-century at the epicenter of
Californian desert rock. From cutting his teeth drumming and
composing on the legendary Kyuss’ landmark early albums, to
propelling the seminal fuzz of Fu Manchu from 1994-2001 while
producing other bands, putting together offshoot projects , and
over the last 20 years embarking on his solo career as a singer,
guitarist and bandleader, founding his own record label and more,
his history is a winding narrative of relentless, unflinching
creativity.
In 2023 the band is the lean and mean Brant Bjork Trio featuring
Ryan Güt on drums and old friend and desert rock pioneer Mario
Lalli on bass guitar.

Nichtmal ein Jahr nach ihrem letzten Release veröffentlicht die Band ihr neues und erstes Live
Album „Live at Freak Valley 2022“ am 02.12.2022!
Schon ein Jahr nachdem DAILY THOMPSON ihr Album „Oumuamua“ veröffentlicht haben,
legten sie den nächsten Longplayer auf den Plattenteller.
War der Vorgänger noch heavy, spacig und hypnotisch, hat „God Of Spinoza“ weitere Nuancen
in der Klangpalette. Tiefenentspannt schleicht sich 90er Jahre Alternativerock in den schweren
Fuzz-Psychedelic-Blues. Pixies, Dinosaur jr oder Sonic Youth werden in 5, 6 Minuten Tracks
zermalmt und durch den Big Muff Super Fuzz gejagd.

Einflüsse aus Grunge, Garage und Indierock fließen zu einem völlig übersteuerten, extrem
fudgigen Superfuzz-Bigmuff zusammen. Der Sound ist ein Feuerwerk aus Noise, Indie-Blues bis
hin zu Stoner-Rock, immer mit für den Daily Thompson üblichen Fuzz-, WahWah- und
Distortion-Attacken kreieren sie ihren 90ies Fuzz-Desert-Rock. Besonders die zwei Leadvocals
sind nicht oft in dem Genre zu finden.
